First of all, the name « Lezart vert » is a play word based on the homophony in french in between “the green arts” and “the green lizard”.

The “raison d’être” of this festival is to open the rural world to a more universal culture, to import various influences and another insight on art, music, landscape (through land art, art brut, etc.) while having the local people and village involved in this project and raising the local economy.

Our goal is also to bring together people from various places and origins around ecofriendly local productions. We are positively bound to this “creusois” space and we wish to favour and enhance this mix of horizons so that we can try to arouse local young people’s curiosity.

The festival’s setting is in Fursac village – 10 km from La Souterraine. Lien mappy.

Since our festival is only 3 years old, there is very few funding and our budget is still limited. But we are all what we call “neo creusois”, volunteers and, above all, fully motivated, dynamic and dedicated to this project.

The program is partly ready and we give you a snapshot of what this week-end is going to be:

• Friday evening: les Brigittes +
• Saturday evening: La maison Tellier + Pad Brapad
• Sunday afternoon: (“bal populaire” chosen for both its appeal to older people and its quirky style)

On top of that, there are the daytime happenings (scarecrow championship, “guinguette” dance choreographic workshops, market with local producers) and the numerous “charms” of the festival’s site (an open space with a century old tree on the river shores + a camping)
